Getting There By Water

International cruise ships stop at Alcântara, Rocha do Conde de Óbidos and Santa Apolónia. There are five marinas that receive private boats and provide mooring – Bom Sucesso, Belém, Santo Amaro, Alcântara and Olivais. Ferry services: There are no long-distance ferries; (see Getting Around for cross-river services).

Transport to the city: Tram, bus and rail services all run along the riverfront.
