Travel - International

AIR: The national airline of the Netherlands Antilles is ALM (LM). St Eustatius is served by Winair.

Approximate flight times: From St Eustatius to London (via St Maarten) is 9 hours, to Los Angeles is 7 hours, to New York is 3 hours 30 minutes and to Singapore is 33 hours (these will vary considerably, depending on connections).

International airports: FD Roosevelt (EUX), 1km (0.6 miles) from Oranjestad, is served by Winair which runs scheduled flights from St Kitts & Nevis, from St Maarten six times daily (flight time – 17 minutes) and from Saba. Golden Rock Airways runs daily passenger charter flight to St Maarten and elsewhere. The runway is too small for jets.

Departure tax: US$5 to Netherlands Antilles; US$20 for international departures.

SEA: There are no ferry services operating on St Eustatius. Plans to develop a service are currently underway. The roll-on, roll-off pier at Oranjestad enables small cruise ships to dock on St Eustatius.
